I haven’t started my clinical rotations yet, so I can’t really start posting officially, but I can lay down an idea of what I’ll be doing with this blog. My primary goal is to document some of my experiences and emotions during the clinical year of my education as a Physician Assistant student. I want to make clear that I will never disclose any personal identification information about a patient, my college, or the clinical sites I will be working at. This blog is also going to be a way for me to share my experiences with my family and friends, who know who and where I am, the internet doesn’t need to know. It suffices to say I will be in a rural area and doing the best I can to become an excellent PA. Or at least keep my head above water. Probably important for me to also mention that any medical information I include represents my own education as a student and should not be used as medical advice.
This is the most exciting endeavor I’ve ever embarked on. I am both thrilled and terrified, with the help of those closest to me I hope I will rise to the task.
